York has earned herself a stellar reputation in the business
- the news business, that is. As an airborne traffic reporter
for KTLA-TV/Los Angeles, York has won Emmy Awards not only for
reporting traffic from her helicopter, but for reporting other
news as well. Now she's ready to show the public a different
side of her talents as she goes for adds with "Gotta Be
Real/Best of |
| My
Love Medley," the lead single from the Native Language
compilation CD A Smooth Jazz Summer. The single is a cover that
combines Cheryl Lynn's hit "Got to Be Real" with The
Emotions' "Best of My Love." Produced by Brian Bromberg,
the medley also features Eric Marienthal. As for York's part,
she plays electric bass, her instrument of choice. And she's
not an amateur by any means: She's been playing bass on the
local Los Angeles circuit for 11 years. Currently, her album
is in the works |
